My doctor says that I have a malformed public-duty gland and a natural deficiency in moral fiber,
and that I am therefore excused from saving Universes.

Sprakey: Thanks for your help on this mate. I'm snowed under with two deadlines before Xmas so I can have a week off! The joy of fortnightly deadlines.

Email me and I'll share what I've found so far.

Do any of the American sanctioning bodies have spec's or rules covering tiedown straps?

EG: Mounting/connection points. or materials. Basically, any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mick

Mick,

The most of the American rules just say that they have to be "bolt-on" straps.  Not regular tie-downs you'd use for other uses.  It's assumed that if you have one made by the motorcycle drag racing community i.e. Schnitz, Pingel etc. that it's going to pass tech.  The other rule is if you are using a tie-down you can't use wheelie bars.

Don,

Yep, it sure is. Turn around and have a look at the one on the shelf behind you. What you have is a bottle of Bundaberg UP, Under Proof. The bottle in my pic is OP, Over Proof. Much stronger. Much nicer.

Did you know they make Bundy in Queensland?

Queensland: The home of the PSQ.

Will email you later.

Sprakey: SSSSHHHHHH! We try not to mention the "Blessed Black Label". It's a "Protected Species", not for export.

You have to venture down under to sample it.

Don: Do you sell tie down straps?

Shnozz: Inner Circle Full Strength. 33% OP. Remember it? Black label with the red spot. Made by CSR. They've just re-released Inner Circle but are hesitant to let us have Full Strength. Aahhh, that takes me back to when I was 16 and learning to drink rum.

Ya gotta be careful of that stuff... It'll turn yer hair white!

Great to read that mate. It's always nice to know that we have primary producers involved in dragracing in their own special way.

Cheers matey, Gazza

Hey Gazza, many a good time had at Ravenswood NQ in my youth , goats and cattle in the main st ,and no i dont mean the goats were us, burnouts, and hellraisin , no unfortunately the the Caprice had to go to make way for the new Monaro CV8 in the only colour "ORANGE" or as GMH calls it "FLAME" and a lovely car to boot , just like a 2 door Caprice ,leather, steer, air, Cd stacker all the stuff. Inner Circle ,what can i say ,does it bring back memories? no i dont think so and neither should it , if you were drinkin it proper, i was pickled tink just thinkin about it
