Kevlar lined gloves or studded sliders on the gloves.  I think also the helmet eject system.  All good things, but there are going to be some glove buying riders this winter lol

These are not bad gloves and the rider still lost some skin on the heels of his hands. I am all for good gloves and safety equipment.
It is too bad bench racing is not measureable. That way someone would win.

just went to some of the big name leather suit/glove suppliers in dbc performace section and only 1(z custom leathers) had gloves with kevlar $175.00,but not fully lined??and studded heal of palm only was med and large only,sm and xl sold out,and was around $25.00/60%off.I can't find anybody who sells legal gloves.sounds like a monopoly if any body  sells gloves that are legal for nhra.what are the psm guys wearing and where from?

Contact NHRA tech and tell them you can not find these gloves they are saying you have to have. I bet they can tell you some companies that are selling them. I am sure when the site advertisers here start getting calls for the gloves they will find them as well and stock them for their customers.
My signature was the same as Fasthouse's signature but then he changed it to some hoodoo voodoo stuff!

So, has anyone clarified where these "slider buttons" have to be?  Will they accept the carbon fiber or composite knuckle type?

The studded palms went away from road racing years ago for good reason - the edges actually tended to bite into the pavement and would rip the glove apart rather spectacularly.  Tore up the side of my hand as a result of the glove failure.  Kevlar makes sense - metal studs do not!

The guys are Komodo Gear were getting some gloves made to specifically adhere to the NHRA rules.  Good guys who support motorcycle drag racing.

I spoke to NHRA tech and I was told that the gloves either have to be kevlar lined or have armor somewhere.  It doesnt matter if its in the knuckles, palms, or wherever.
