    Posted: 24 October 2009 at 8:29pm
We lost Guy Lombardi here at Maxton today. Guy was an experienced Bonneville racer also.
Guy was also a Tiger Racing sponsored racer.  I tech-ed him in Friday and he was in great spirits and couldn't wait to ride the Maxton Mile.  He made a good clean pass of about 191 and went thru the traps without incident.  Moments later the emergency horn rang and the crash crews were on the course.  We know nothing more than he went off course just before long shutdown.  Accident investigation is in progress and the family has arrived here at Maxton.
He went doing what really excited him in life, LSR.  He attended Bonneville and made many friends with who ever he met.  His excitement about LSR was infectious and you couldn't help but smile when you talked with him.
The entire Maxton and LSR family grieves at this loss and our prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

Guy Caputo

Godspeed Guy, prayers go out to the Family.
My signature was the same as Fasthouse's signature but then he changed it to some hoodoo voodoo stuff!

Guy Lombardi and my husband, Ned Ebert, were best friends.  They grew up together, Jr. High, Sarasota High and then off to college.  We were waiting for him to come over on Saturday as he always did, to watch the Gators.  Ned recieved  the most devastating call from Guy's son Joe, telling Ned of Guy's death.  Guy couldn't make up his mind if he was going to go to Norht Carolina or not.  Ned was going to go with him he he was going.   It was a last minute decision to go.  As we all know Guy is with our Lord and Savior as he so believed in God and Jesus Christ.  We will miss  him terribly and our thougths and prayers to his sons and daughter.  Gina lives in North Carolina and is bringing Guy home.  WE LOVE YOU GUY!

Gaetano Lombardi was one of my best friends, no one could ask for a better friend, he would do anything for anybody, and was very trusting and generous and a true man of his word.. Guy was also a very intellegent individual and a man of God, and was not ashamed of it.  He was one in a million and he will be sorely missed by anyone who knew him. R.I.P.  IN HEAVEN GAETANO

They would love to hear from everyone.
