Since the 30 days have more then passed and 1 of the most viewed (short term) topics has ended, what is the latest? I looked on NHRA site but I didn't find anything if it was there.

I still don't understand why an organization as large as NHRA does not allow for hair samples or alternate means of drug testing.....suspend the racer until additional testing confirms a violation or clears a racer and let the racer pick up the tab on any additional costs - even if he is clear. That way should a sample not be sufficient for testing at the event, the racer can pay for additional testing and be readmitted into competition once they are clean....especially when no positive results were found.

The appeal was rejected and it was decided not to incur the costs to take it to the next level.

The word I got is that he rented his bike to Gary Moreno to go license with at Vegas & then try to qualify at Pomona. I don't know if that is enough time for Gary to get up to speed on it or not but I wish him luck! Ray.

Word is NHRA does not care about hair samples or otherwise. They don't test or care about masking agents. I'm told they just do enough to make the insurance company happy.

I just want to say GOOD LUCK to Larry Cook and if Gary goes, good luck to him too!
I have seen Larry Cook tune like a true professional and man, can he ride? That four runs were his first on a "Buell"!! And he ran a 7:05? WOW!

It's great that these other guys are doing well, but, I am still curious about this appeal that never occured/ innocent until proven guility statement. Can he race next year or what's the procedure? I took alot of abuse about my opinion of his behavior on the Topic that was closed, so figuring out whats up now would make me feel better about my statements made at that time.

He has decided to let Larry ride for the last 2 races. And Matt gets to spend some time with the new baby.

Even if he gets his appeal denied I still say the way it went down he has a great case and could get $$$$ and the decision reveresed in a court of law.
